In this article you will learn how to resolved connectivity issues with your Control4 remotes. Before attempting the following steps , be sure the the batteries in the remote are functional and that the remote has sufficient power. The remote's battery level is displayed as an icon in the top right corner of the remotes screen.
Now on to how to reboot your Control4 remote. This can be done by following the steps below:
Battery Removal
- First, slide off the battery cover and then remove the batteries for at least 5 seconds.
- After the batteries have been removed for the minimum 5 seconds, place the back into the remote. This should start the rebooting process.
- During the rebooting process, the remote will run through a series of images on the screen. These can be seen below:
Image 1: Remote is initializing the reboot process
Image 2: The remote has rebooted, but has not yet reconnected to its assigned room
Image 3: The remote has successfully rebooted and reconnected to its assigned room
Do be patient as the rebooting process can take up to a minute to complete.
